Contaminated air is less efficient! The air we breathe contains contamination in the form of water vapor & airborne particles. During the compression of air, these impurities are further concentrated, & depending on type & age of compressor, are mixed together with oil particles.
Modern air compressors typically have a built-in after-cooler which lowers the temperature of the compressed air at the discharge side of the compressor, & drains condensate with the aid of water separators. While this is adequate for some applications, the residual condensate particles in aerosol form can cause damage to the compressed air system & cause decay or contamination of products.
Ingersoll Rand has a complete product range to satisfy your requirements & has the expertise necessary for the appropriate selection, composition & installation of a complete system.
